Wolf Alice led by Ellie Rowsell performing in Belfast’s Ulster Hall. At the end of 2017 I decided to take a break from all things photography. The reasons were long, complicated and varied. Sometimes to you have to change everything to liberate, it was time to disrupt the routine and explore a new perspective.
I first photographed the band back in 2016 in Belfast’s Mandela Hall (WA : Mandela Hall) and they have continue to mature and astound.
Ellie Rowsell – Wolf Alice
The band was in Belfast touring the newly released ‘Visions of a Life’. The four piece, Ellie Rowsell (vocals, guitar), Joff Oddie (guitars, vocals), Theo Ellis (bass), and Joel Amey (drums, vocals) herald from London and have been on upward spiral of success since their official debut EP Blush in 2013.
The best of the photos have another purpose so these are the images that are left. I fear my engagement with the performance dragged my attention from taking photos but honestly, if you get a chance to hear the band live, take it.
