Lisburn Mayor’s Parade 2011

It is hard to believe that it is a year since the last Mayor’s Parade and that Lisburn Council managed to get good weather for the third year in a row.

The 2011 Carnival Parade was probably the best yet, this has nothing to do with Jedward or Joe McElderry but down to the brilliant range of carnival floats and activities. In actual fact I enjoyed the BMX presentation and greater range of fun fair activities than the spectacle of Jedward.

Still, there is no doubt about it. Lisburn Council and the Island Arts Centre have surpassed themselves with this year’s parade. Congratulations to all involved. There are a few more photos available on flickr.
