Tenth Avenue North Belfast

Tenth Avenue North embarked on their first ever UK tour supporting Northern Ireland’s own Rend Collective. The tour kicked off in Ireland’s capital, Dublin and moved to Belfast for two sold out nights in the Mandela Hall (QUB).

Tenth Avenue North is a Florida based band that has a substantial following in the States and with three independent albums under their belt before their first label release, ‘Underneath’ they entered the mainstream winning Dove band of the year in 2009.

Tenth Avenue North have a wealth of experience crafting beautiful songs. In 2010 the band won a Song of the Year Dove Award for ‘Hold My Heart’.

Tenth Avenue North have toured with the likes of ‘Casting Crowns’ and ‘MercyMe’ and their first UK tour created a very special evening of music and celebration with Northern Ireland’s own Rend Collective.

Compassion International

The band partner with the charity Compassion International and all sponsor children as a band. Hundreds of Compassion International sponsor forms were distributed amongst the thousands strong audience with the hope that others would be rescued from poverty. See below for link.

Birthday Celebrations

The Thursday gig saw a special, on-stage birthday celebration for Tenth Avenue Drummer Jason Jamison. The traditional blowing out of candles was to the backdrop of the entire audience singing an acoustic version of happy birthday.

Personally this was my first time hearing Tenth Avenue North and I have already invested in their back catalogue as a result. If you can hear the band live you won’t be disappointed if not check out their latest release ‘The Struggle’.
