The Stepping Stones

Every visit to Tollymore includes at least one photo of the stepping stones. Today was no different.

The heavy rain meant they were a challenge to pass but the deluge meant long exposure captures were pretty easy to get.

You can see the water passing over the stepping stones in the photograph below.

This is the first set of stepping stones across the Shimna river, there are three sets in all. I stuck with an aperture of f22 and moved the shutter speed up to 8 seconds.

The camera suggested this would over expose the photos by 2 steps but I think the results are better at the high shutter interval.
