Having ventured over to Edinburgh Castle for a special Apple iPad event it was more than a surprise to be trapped in the city for two days and rushed from the Castle in the late afternoon as a heavy snow storm approached.
The steps were completely hidden by the dense snow and a five minute walk took twenty minutes.
As the snow fell, airports and roads closed and the focus moved from iOs to Ice. There is no arguing the fact that Edinburgh is a stunning city but the blanket of snow added a surreal almost fairy tale feel to the city.
These are just some of the photos from a few dozen photos snapped as we rushed between the hotel and the castle.
