Amy Montgomery | Mandela Hall

1 min read

The first thing that grabs your attention about Amy Montgomery is her raw and powerful voice. Honed from relentless busking throughout Ireland. Her vocals seem to channel the spirit of Janis Joplin and Grace Slick. Amy is a musical force of nature. Performing with great intensity on both guitar and keyboards. Adorned in war paint and flamboyantly designed stage outfits, she presents a fearless and confident persona as a performer.

Amy’s sidekicks is well know NI producer/songwriter/musician Michael Mormecha. Michael who fronts Mojo Fury is a master of multiple instruments. When is he isn’t performing musically he is appearing on the Malojian album cover with a drop on his head.

Amy’s first single Dangerous blissfully blends gentle acoustic guitars with soaring string arrangements and rich electric licks. Dangerous picked up plays across BBC Radio Ulster and spot plays on Bob Harris’s 6 Music show.

Amy and her band performing in Belfast’s Mandela Hall. A high energy show both visually and musically.
