I found an old pile of chains on a beach recently. Despite the rust they were still in perfect order, too heavy to be washed ashore but that is where they ended up.

This photo was taken of an old traditional exam desk with an ultra modern inkwell to the top right. The ink well isn’t visible in this landscape version of the photo. It is amazing what people write in that tense period between finishing an exam and the “pens down” announcement.
