Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

December 5, 2009  |  ,  |

Perhaps a little early but given that Christmas appears to end on 23rd of December to make way for the advertisements for new year sales enjoy it while you can. It isn’t cynical to think we have made Christmas into a completely economic affair given its success or failure is based solely on high street sales figures.

If I wrote here what I did with my money at Christmas it would detract from any value I gain from it, if you do anything this Christmas don’t give to those who have, think of those who have not.

  1. Thank you for your views, which I totally share. I have just read in today’s press that high street stores are operating a postcode lottery on prices this December, further diminishing the meaning of Christmas.

It is hard dor traders under the current economic conditions, but so many people are deceived by the spirit of Acquisitiveness, rather than the spirit of Joy and Peace which could give them so much more pleasure.

  2. I like the Christmas card photo – U seem to be a pretty good photographer. Was this your shot?

  3. PS … I also appreciate the sentiment of your message. I support #TwitterForFood, and seem to be running low on dollar bills for the Salvation Army bell ringers outside these days.

  4. Yes that is one of my photos Scott. Thanks for the compliment.
