Despite the latest health and safety madness trying to ban conkers we still make the annual trek to your local park to throw large heavy sticks vertically in attempt to dislodge these apparently risky seeds. Perhaps it won’t be too long before collecting conkers to banned as well but until that day it will still be an enjoyable past time for us.

We are literally back minutes ago and I have just scanned through the photos taken during this afternoon’s adventure and grabbed these two as favourites.

If this year is anything like the last number of years the collected conkers will sit in a bucket for months. It seems the fun these days in the collection rather than the playing.
