Getty is doing nothing more than exploiting photographers. They have no respect for their artists, I know, I have a regular non Flickr Getty contract and they treat me like dirt. I figured only getting 20 or 30% commission on sales was not a lot (putting it politely) especially considering you're now no longer allowed to sell those photos through other agencies.
