The 19th Coca-Cola Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People has launched its highly anticipated annual programme that includes more than 100 film screenings and over 50 different workshops, competitions, masterclasses and exciting film related events.

The evening kicked off with all the usual Cinemagic excitement with press photographers, television cameras and all the food and drink four hundred people could consume.
Cinemagic is the largest UK childrens’ film festival it packs in hundreds of screenings, masterclasses and special events from 18th November to 4th December. Launching the event Joan Burney Keatings, Cinemagic Chief Executive outlined a series of world wide special events planned to mark the twentieth year of Cinemagic.

The programme launch was marked with a special preview of the latest Disney*Pixar comedy adventure ‘Up’ in Movie House Cinemas, Yorkgate/Cityside for 400 invited guests. It was quite a night with guests being issued 3D glasses for one of the best animated films I have seen in a number of years.
Up is brilliant and if you have the opportunity of seeing it in 3D it is utterly spectacular. If you haven’t attended any Cinemagic events in the past then you definitely need to check out this year’s packed programme.
