Despite being a stunning view there is something utterly depressing about looking at the city from this height. From this point you see every aspect of the city from beautiful to the downright ugly.
Perhaps it was coincidental the cloud formation over Kilroot power station appeared as smog from the large chimney on the Carrickfergus shoreline but the trial of cloud looked thick and heavy.

I don’t think this is unique to Belfast. I don’t think any city looks great from above. On a plus point we did manage to see the spots where ‘Closing the Ring’ and ‘City of Ember’ where shot. They definitely look different in real life.
