An attempt at a macro photo without using a prime macro lens. Interesting depth of field with a strong green background. This photo was actually taken with the Canon lens that ships with the 450D camera. There is no debating the extra benefit a dedicated macro lens offers but with a bit of preparation with standard lens the results can be spectacular.
