Belfast at Night
November 18, 2009  |  Featured, Streets

Tonight saw the launch of the 19th Cinemagic Film Festival for Young People. The night had all the excitement of previous years with a special UK preview of “Spirit of the Forest”. Although ill prepared for night or light trail photography we decided to give the Belfast Eye a very quick visit.

I think the first thing that struck me about tonight was the large “Happy New Year Belfast” decoration across the Dublin Road. Not only is it particularly early the only part that actually works is “Happy Belfast”.

The second strange sight of the night was this road in the centre of Belfast. This little road is just about wide enough to drive a single car down yet it features double yellow lines on each side.

I really wish I had brought my tripod. Relying on electric boxes and bins this was the best of the light trail experiments.

Light Trails

Perhaps a little bit of a cliched photo set confirmed by the fact I was asked to take some photographs for a group of tourists it was an interesting ‘play’ none the less.

A few more photos are available on Flickr.
