Last month I was a contributor to a exhibition in Belfast to launch just one part of Northern Ireland’s contribution to the IF Campaign.

The IF campaign is a remarkable initiative focusing on a topic to which we have grown almost immune. Nearly one billion people go to bed hungry every night and you don’t have to look too far from home to see the harsh reality of hunger even in the UK & Ireland, people are struggling to feed their families.

In 2013, the government has promised to provide 0.7% of national income for aid and to host a Hunger Summit. In June, Northern Ireland is host to the world’s most powerful leaders who will meet at the G8 Conference and the IF want to put hunger on the agenda.
