I arrived home today to find both Photo Pro Magazine and Digital SLR User awaiting a read. I wrote a little ‘how-to’ on conversion to mono. In the article, rather than a pure black and white I opted for a slight variation using a really nice Lightroom preset by Flickr friend Rebecca Lily.
The article as a before and after type piece that outlines how to use the preset and how to tweak it to create some really nice tones.
The photo used was actually one of my ‘rejected’ photos in a pencil macro series I created in September. Still a nice way to end the day.
