I knew Derek Bingham was ill but did not known until now that he had passed on in March of this year. I was very sad as it was through his preaching when I was nine years old that I gave my life to the Lord but thank the Lord that it is through the selfless dedication of men like him that the rest of us hear the gospel. It is sad news for me but tinged with the hope that we have in Christ Jesus. I shall see him again one day and can thank him then.

I first came across the minstry of Derick when my church in Gateshead used his Tuesday night minstry tapes as a basis for our minstry at Whitehills Christian Fellowship. He is truly a one amongst the great preachers of our time and a man who has influenced many into the Kingdom. My prayers and thoughts for his family.

Devasting news. Will never forget Derick's work & the mornings he had coffee with us on the Lisburn Road. Shared many happy times talking of his books & have many including my favourite on CS Lewis 'A Shiver of Wonder' Derick was a giant of a man his work will go on in books & beautiful phamplets.
He was my source of encouragement through times when I needed support.

Thinking of the happy times & remembering his family. The last post on his blog last night made me weep today confirmed my thoughts.
I will never forget the moments dad & I spent listening to Derick.
Thank you for posting this sad news but Derick is rejoicing tonight.
Prayers & thoughts for his family
